A sales funnel is a step-by-step process that allows you to bring your potential customer one step closer to your offer and a buying decision through a series of marketing actions like automated emails, videos, articles and landing pages that will do the selling for you.
A sales funnel shows the jouney that your leads go through on their way to becoming your customers. You will market your product of service to thousands of people, only a percentage of those people will give you their email address and become leads. Of those leads only a fraction will become customers.
There are many different things you can do to to improve your sales funnel. The first thing you can do is make sure you use multiple marketing platforms to attract visitors. Join Facebook groups and start simple conversations with people. Answer questions and give value to show that you know how to help people. This can be done the same way on all the other Social Media platforms.
The next thing you can do to improve your sales funnel is add original relevent content to your blog site several times a day. There are many platforms where you can add content. Medium is one of my favorates to add content. Just make sure you link the content you post back to your blog, and all the other social media platforms.
Make sure you respond to all the questions and responses that your prospects put on your blog or social media platforms. If you take the time to answer all of thier questions, chances are there are other prospects with the same questions and this can lead to new visitors to your site.
Become an authority in your niche. If you become known that you are an expert in your niche, you will have prospects seeking you out to get information. This is going to take time to get your brand known but the more you post videos, webinars etc… your brand recognition will grow and therefore you will get more prospect to come to your site. These prospects will become leads then finally customers.
Make sure you nurture all your leads. They have given you their email address so they trust you and are interested in your product or service. They may not be ready to buy from you right away and that is ok. You need to continue to send them weekly newletters and sooner of later they will buy from you.
The most important thing that you can do is take action. The first thing you need to do to improve your sales funnel is take action. If you procastinate and wait for a week or so, that will turn into a month, a year and eventually you will quit. The longer you wait to take action the easier it becomes to quit. You don’t have to take everything on at once, but you need to create a game plan that has specific dates to make sure you get the process started.
